The fees charged for mediation are the same as those agreed by the Commonwealth Government for other Codes
Costs for the provision of mediation services include:
An Administration fee of 3 hours for the organisation, management and administration of the mediation and provision of support services including videoconferencing services, which is charged at the time of the initial request for the mediation.
A Mediation fee which includes:
- an hourly cost of the mediator
- the cost of room hire
- the cost of any additional assistance (say of expert reports) agreed by both parties to be necessary to conduct the mediation.
The fees are charged at the same rate as those agreed by the Commonwealth Government under the provision of Adviser services for other Codes of Conduct, being an hourly charge of $300 plus GST.
Each party pays for their own costs of attending the mediation and are equally liable for the costs of the mediation, unless the parties otherwise agree.
